Blinds

Outdoor blinds come in many shapes and sizes. They also come in different ways to work them, such as manual or motorized. The motorized ones are usually the retractable outdoor blinds and are used for a screened in porch area, where the blinds, made of heavy, weather resistant, treated fabric, act as the screen. You might want to stay away from fabric blinds because over time they can get rust stains or become moldy from the weather.

Patio doors are taller than they are wider in this case, but horizontal blinds would be too small for such large doors. Patio door blinds should be vertical and can be any number of styles, the real wood, the faux wood or fabric or vinyl. Just keep in mind if you use your patio door a lot, you will need to clean the blinds more often. Cleaning them is easy, if they are vinyl or wood, use a damp cloth and wipe them down, always down, and then dry them. If they are fabric, use a vacuum cleaner.

Hunters use a special kind of blind called a duck boat blind which camouflages their boat from ducks and other waterfowl allowing the hunters to gain better access to shooting range. The duck boat blind is a covering that allows the hunters to move about without notice by the animals they are hunting. It's important when looking for a duck boat blind to find one that is going to last for many seasons. Find a durable one as well as one that hides you and your hunting party.
